I have gained a wealth of experience from
working in equine establishments of mixed clientele, where I
have been involved in teaching, training and examining a wide range
of people as well as breaking young horses, stud work and competing
in showing, dressage, show jumping, eventing and side saddle,
locally and at county shows, including the Royal Show.
Experience and
Qualifications

I have been riding since a child
and was a member of
the Atherstone Hunt Branch of the Pony Club. I passed all Pony Club tests up to H
standard - this was taken at Heather Hall Riding School whilst I was
there as a working pupil training for my BHSAI and BHS HK & R Stage
3.

Experience of managing riding
establishments including a stud, competition yards, riding schools
(setting up to achieve BHS Approved status in 8 months) and my own
business.

Extensive experience of
training working pupils and students to BHS stages 1, 2
& 3, NVQ Levels 1 to 3 and Pony Club tests to A test.

Committee Member of Market
Bosworth Agricultural, Horticultural and Equestrian Society and on
show days I act as Chief Steward of the pony rings.

First Aid at Work Qualified, have attended
a British Equine Federation Child Protection Course and can also
provide evidence of a CRB check.

I have always been
keen to improve children’s and young person’s horsemanship and
stable management skills. I feel strongly that the work experience
gained on yards is vital if we are to produce grooms, instructors
etc. who have both practical and theoretical knowledge. |
